10.26.2022. Crozet, VA. Amtrak train #5025 eastbound through Crozet on time for its next stop at Charlottesville led by AMTK 203, OLS. Surprisingly, this was the first eastbound Cardinal since the Autumn Colors Excursion had completed its run and there were no private cars tied onto the rear heading back East. The 203 was one of 3 engines that powered the 4-day excursion, and has become a frequent visitor on this route. |

2.27.2022. I participated in an invitation only railfan weekend limited to 100 photographers at Western Maryland Scenic Railroad. It was the first time the ex-C&O 1309 ran the entire 9+ miles of the Western Maryland Scenic's route. I took this photo at Woodcock Hollow. It was one of many photo runbys performed during the 2 days of operations. |
