On the day before (Saturday),the SOU 6141 FP7A and its mate SOU 6147 had taken a round-trip excision from Charlotte to Asheville that I rode with my nephew. View Jim Owens' posted photos above of this trip. Later in the day that I shot this the pair would do a one-way movement to Greensboro to reposition their passenger consist for upcoming excursions in Virginia. SOU 6141 B/D 10/50, BN 12337. 58:19 gearing. Re# 3497 12/16/1983. Retired 4/20/1988. Shortly after sold to R.J. Corman of Tennessee. |
